How does Game Backlog work?
Game Backlog is a web app that lets you add games to a personal list and mark them with statuses: Playing, Completed, Dropped or Wishlist. Based on your completed and rated games, the algorithm generates personalised recommendations for new titles.
Is it free?
Yes, Game Backlog on ivoo.pl is completely free. Just create an account and you can use all features at no cost.
Which gaming platforms does it support?
The app supports games from all major platforms: PC (Steam, Epic, GOG), PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series, Nintendo Switch, and older consoles. The RAWG database we use covers titles from over 50 platforms.
Where does the game data come from?
Game metadata (titles, descriptions, cover art, genres, platforms) is sourced from the RAWG Video Games Database (rawg.io), one of the largest game databases in the world. Estimated completion times come from HowLongToBeat (howlongtobeat.com).
How do recommendations work?
The algorithm analyses the genres, tags and mechanics of games you have completed and rated. It then finds similar titles not yet in your backlog. The more rated games you have, the more accurate the recommendations.
Can I import games from Steam or another platform?
Automatic import from platforms like Steam is not supported yet. You add games manually via the built-in catalogue search. External import is planned for a future release.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Game Backlog is a responsive web app that works in the browser on smartphones and tablets. Just open ivoo.pl in your mobile browser — no app installation required.
How do I remove a game from my backlog?
In the backlog view, each game has an action menu where you can delete it or change its status. Deletion is permanent, but you can re-add the game at any time via the catalogue search.
Where does the completion time (HLTB) come from?
Completion times are fetched automatically from HowLongToBeat (howlongtobeat.com), which aggregates data submitted by players worldwide. We display the Main Story estimate.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Passwords are stored hashed with bcrypt. Your backlog data is private and only accessible when you are logged in. We do not share personal data with third parties.
